Urgent care/Same day sick visits
We know how important it is to have access to timely medical care when your child is ill, and seeing your child's pediatrician is always the best option. Before heading to the urgent care/walk-in clinic down the road, please call us when your child is sick and needs to be seen. At Hartman Pediatrics, we strive to provide the best care to each of our patients.
Well Child Care
Preventive care and regular health check ups will help ensure your child remains as healthy as possible. These visits provide an opportunity for Dr. Hartman to review your child's development and growth and provide immunizations to protect your child from preventable diseases. After the age of 3 years, your child should be seen yearly for well exams. Infants and toddlers are seen more frequently (the schedule can be found under parent resources).
Behavioral Health
Dr. Hartman has a special interest in providing evaluation and treatment for ADD, ADHD, ODD, depression, anxiety and other behavior concerns. We have the capability of providing the convenience of electronic prescriptions for ADHD medication (no more paper scripts to pick up!).
Chronic illness/special needs
Having trained at Children's Hospital of Illinois, Dr. Hartman is skilled at helping you to manage your child's chronic illness. She has a strong background in caring for premature infants, children with congenital heart disease, immunodeficiency, asthma, allergies and genetic syndromes. The office will work to coordinate care with your child's specialists for ongoing treatment of longterm medical needs, making sure your child receives the best resources available.
School, sports and camp physicals
Did you know that your child's insurance typically covers an annual well exam? Make sure you child is physically fit for participation in sports by scheduling a visit with Dr. Hartman prior to the beginning of the sports season each year. Even if healthy, your child should have a yearly well check, which at Hartman Pediatrics also serves as a sports physical and is valid for one year. No need to pay extra for a separate sports physical at urgent care or at the school!
